Dieting.

Not the most fun thing to do! However, Brian & I started the 17 Day Diet on Thursday. We got the idea from my parents who just bought the book as well. I downloaded the book on my MacBook Pro using the Kindle app and loved how easy that is to do! I heard somewhere you can share books using that app but I have no idea how? As far as the diet goes it is 3 cycles of 17 days. On cycle 1 we are eating nonfat plain yogurt, greek yogurt, certain fruits, salad, any kind of turkey, grilled or baked chicken, any kind of fish. It is a big change around here because we like our red meat and potatoes! I believe in cycle 2 we can add in some whole wheat pastas and bread maybe? I'm not that far in the book yet.

Today is Day 5 of the diet for us and I have lost 6 lbs. so far. I have not been doing the diet as strict as Brian...I have been adding in some carbs for little Logan :) But, I do have some weight to lose and know that it will be easier after the baby comes if I start some healthier habits now. I had only gained 9 lbs this pregnancy so I have 3 more lbs. and I will weigh what I did when I started this pregnancy. I know I can't judge the weight loss when it comes to the very end of this pregnancy, but none the less I am going to be healthier and be able to lose weight after the baby comes. I will be 30 weeks on Thursday!

Brian has lost 8lbs. so far and he is doing awesome on the diet! We went to Canton this weekend and he took a tuna packet with him and added it to a salad he bought! Usually we would have had something fried for sure!

We found this link that has recipes for the different cycles and have tried a few of them that have been good and some not so good! Like adding cocoa to greek yogurt...yuck! I didn't like it at all and was excited because I was craving something chocolatey! I am still searching for some good recipes so please share if you know how to doctor up some yogurt or chicken!

We are looking forward to being healthier!
