This is my 28th week of pregnancy which marks the first week of the last three months of this journey I am on.
Mason this week:
What www.3dpregnancy.com says he is doing this week:
As the Big Day nears, your baby is getting ready to go towards the light at the end of the tunnel (the tunnel being the birth canal, the light being the one the doctor is shining directly into it so she can see what the heck he's doing).
Other highlights this week:
Your baby's eyes are partially open now and can blink. Truly superior babies can actually wink. (OK, there is no way to prove that, but it's fun to imagine, no?) Your baby can also now become a shiny, happy person as she has begun having rapid eye movement (Get it? REM? Shiny, happy person?? We'll be here all week.)
Her eyes have color now, too. It may not be the color he ultimately ends up with, especially if they're light gray or blue. The eyes typically don't settle on a final hue until nine months after baby is born. So when your mother-in-law says that the baby has her eyes, you can politely inform her that they'll most likely change soon. Sorry.
Your babe is downright chubby compared to a few weeks ago. He is about 15 inches long, about the length of an amusement park cinnamon-sugar-coated churro (yum!), and weighs 2 to 3 pounds.
This website makes me laugh and is always on track.
Me this week:
At least I am hoping little Mase has turned himself in the direction last month his head was up and feet were down...He has done alot of moving around lately so I am crossing my fingers he has maneuvered himself around to the the correct position for birth.
Nursery update:
Thanks for Papa Rick and Meemaw for coming out a few weekends ago and helping Brian with the chair rail. It looks great.
Last weekend Ashley went to Canton with us and we found this cowhide rug...we love it!
And today Snookie & Ringo came out and bought Mason his crib! It was too big for the car so it is waiting for us at Babies R Us...I can't wait to get it put together in the room.
The furniture we picked out:
This weekend we also had Noah...he was able to live out a dream! Yes...a dream! Thomas the Train was in Grapevine. Noah was able to see Thomas and take a picture with Mr. Sirtopumhat. His daddy also bought him a Thomas shirt and backpack...he was so excited! We also went through the petting zoo which Noah loved!
