I’m an old person already.

I have more ailments anyway. After 12 hours of labor and still no baby I had a c-section…thank you mom I appreciate that one ha-ha! But…the incision still has one little spot not all the way healed and that was 8 weeks ago. I have been going to the wound care center every Thursday for them to check the progress and make sure it is infection free (I know TMI). Well, yesterday they said it should be all the way healed by next Thursday whenever I go…l am praying so!

Also, yesterday I had another appointment for a sonogram and found out that I had gallstones. I have had bad attacks at night and some pain during the day after I eat. The doctor said it is common after pregnancy. I have an appointment with the surgeon next Tuesday. The thought of another surgery is not settling well…I am feeling a little down about it. They said the recovery is usually 1 to 2 weeks…so I will barely be recovered and back to teaching I will go. I am looking forward to this school year!

Mason made it all day with me to all my appointments…I am feeling nervous about going to back to school and not being with him. Although he has many people who would willingly watch him he is going everywhere Mommy goes until school starts :)

Brown and Tan….

The theme of my house is brown and tan. All the walls are tan and everything else seems to be brown! It is driving me crazyyyyy! We have lived in our house almost a year and a half and I am ready to change things up. Every room in my house is a work in progress. We almost finish something and then move on to the next thing…which is also driving me nuts! I am so busy and not home enough during the school year that I think it didn’t really bother me but now that I am home for the summer and have my little man I am here a lot more and need change. So my first project is going to be the dinning room. Like I said BOWN AND TAN!

These are iphone pics.

Starting point (one of the chairs is in the other room because I used it to cut Brian’s hair):

I do love my curtains I will use them somewhere else:

My ideas for the room stem from our Fiesta dishes we received as wedding gifts…I know it’s not expensive china or anything but I do love it! We choose ivory and plum just because I liked the colors and they don’t match anything we have. So we will soon have a room they will match in ;)

Our dinning room furniture consists of a small table and hutch that was Brian’s grandmother’s before she passed away. I love that we have it now…brings more meaning to the room. My idea is to paint the furniture white or ivory and the walls plum and go from there…my husband will flip when I tell him this I just came up with the idea right now!

Pictures that inspire my ideas…

I thought this was a good picture mixing the two colors and little too bright purple. I could see a vase like that on the table though.

I like the contrast between the white furniture and plum walls.

Hopefully, I can start this project soon, but who knows! :)
